Johnnie Appleseed Summer Cocktail
There really is no better way to beat the heat of summer than with an invigorating, ice-cold cocktail! And cider, with its refreshingly crisp and lightly carbonated mouthfeel, makes a perfect match for your favourite distilled liquor or spirit.
Try our very own recipe using Johnnie Walker Black Label blended whisky and Willie Smith’s Bone Dry Cider. With just a splash of fruit juice and a few household spices, you can easily treat yourself to a drink with a compelling punch and surprising green apple finish!
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 1
1 can Willie Smith’s Bone Dry Cider
45ml Johnnie Walker Black Label
55ml pineapple juice
2 drops vanilla
a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
Ice (enough for a tall glass)
Lemon peel for garnish
Mix pineapple juice, vanilla, and cloves in a small container, and then let sit in a cool place for one hour.
Strain cloves from juice mixture, add juice mixture to a tall glass filled with ice.
Add Johnnie Walker Black Label. Stir one time.
Fill rest of glass with Willie Smith’s Bone Dry Cider and then sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
Garnish with lemon peel.
Sit back and enjoy!
